Welcome to The Diamond Academy.

Here, you'll find courses and trainings designed to stimulate the mind and soothe the soul. My inspiration draws from the philosophy of yoga and new ways of knowing ourselves, including nervous system theory and neuroscience.

All of my offerings have been honed and tweaked after working with live participants. By design, they welcome everyone whether you have a relationship to yoga or not.

I love these courses so much, it’s time to share them with the world.

"Taryn has a beautiful ability to take a complex concept and intertwine multiple pieces of the puzzle together to form a broader view at hand. She incorporates and pulls from anatomy, psychology, movement, and weaves together a wonderful program. Taryn creates an environment that is comfortable and empowering to her students."

Hi, I’m Taryn (she/her).

I will forever call myself a ‘new mom’, despite having a six year old. My entry to yoga was through movement, but my passion resides in studying its roots in Eastern philosophy. I've spent the last few years designing courses and trainings that convey the depth of yoga's philosophy and apply it with relevance to our everyday lives.

My courses are for humans, seeking to better understand themselves; for teachers, seeking professional development; and for anyone with curiosity and an open heart.

If I had to pick one modality to be monogamous with, it would be Yoga Nidrā (or ‘guided rest’). Through nidrā, I'm able to express the golden nuggets embedded within the philosophy of yoga, while also facilitating some meaningful rest for my students. This is why you'll see nidrā utilized in many of my courses as both a learning tool or subject of study.

I hold the American Yoga Alliance’s highest certifications, ERYT-500 and YACEP. Many of my courses will count as continuing education credits within the YA.
